We launched our Supplier Diversity Program in 2005 to grow an inclusive and socially responsible workplace and build stronger, more equitable communities. Today, we remain dedicated to developing a supplier base that reflects our diverse communities, employees, and consumers.
We’re actively building a pipeline of diverse suppliers. We’re also working to make our RFIs (Request for Information), RFPs (Request for Pricing/Proposal), and Reverse e-Auction more inclusive. It’s good for our communities and it’s good for our business.
As part of our Inclusion and Diversity (I&D) strategy, in 2020 we announced a goal to grow supplier diversity spend by 25% over three years. We have already surpassed this goal, two years ahead of schedule. This is one way we can use our buying power to make the world and our communities a more equitable place and develop a supply base that reflects the demographic diversity of our employees and our consumers.

We partnered with The Sustainability Consortium (TSC) to assess the social and environmental risk in our ingredient supply chain. Based on this risk assessment, we have ten priority raw materials where we focus our efforts: almonds, cashews, cheese, chicken, chocolate, palm oil, paper packaging, potatoes, tomatoes and wheat.
We’re also members of AIM-Progress and Sedex, which enables us to streamline our priority raw material auditing process. Through these collaborations, we continue to build transparency in our ingredient supply chains.
